Bing and Yahoo is a webmasters tools just like
Google Webmaster tools. Now You could get detailed info on how many sites were linking you and could also count the total number of internal links within your site.
But since now Yahoo has joined hands with Bing search engine by Microsoft, our job becomes even more easy, because submitting your blog at Bing will set it live at two search engines, i.e. both Bing and yahoo.
Previously MSN did not required sitemap and you only needed to submit your link to them by pinging them but with the replacement of MSN search engine by latest BING, Microsoft is now openly following Google's steps.
Now Submit Your blog URL To Bing and Yahoo Webmasters
Follow the below steps to submit your blog and website sitemap to bing and yahoo webmasters tools.
Login to
Bing webmaster tools using your email account or your hotmail account.
Once you login to your account you'll see bing dashboard with severals options. Then click on the bottom '
Add Site' like you see it in the picture below.
Then submit your URL see the screenshot below.
Then click on Submit. They will ask you to verify if you're the website or blog owner that you submitted to them. Then choose the second option which is "
Copy and paste a tag in your default webpage" Click the option 2 here is the screenshot below.
Now
they will be given a short HTML code. Then simply copy and paste the code just below <head> tag inside your blogger template.
Now Follow This simple step to do it:
Goto your blogger dashboard .
Then scroll down to Template.
Click on Edit HTML use Ctrl+F for searching <head> tag.
Just paste the code that you get from bing webmaster.
Now save your template you've done it successful.
Now go back to BING webmaster page and click on "VERIFY" bottom if you paste the code correctly then your blog sitemaps will be added successful to the list.
Must Read :
It will take atleast 3-5 days for BING and YAHOO to start showing data for your newly submitted website. So dont worry and expected your blog links to appearing in BING and YAHOO search engines within 3 to 5days.
Now You will then be able to track organic traffic to your blogs via your webmaster account which is almost similar to Google Webmaster tools account.
Then the bing and yahoo may send crawlers to index your newly added content before time. Don't ping search engines too frequently for it can be taken as overloading the servers which can even get you penalized from search listings. Do it only when you feel that your links are not appearing at Yahoo and Bing page.
NOW DO THE BELOW STEP AGAIN:
From the links below , replace www.kudantown.blogspot.com with your blogspot links or custom domain links. (Example: kudantown.blogspot.com or www.example.com)
Paste the below following links into your browser address bar one at a time and hit enter.
You will see a message "Thanks for submitting your sitemap." indicating that you have successfully pinged Bing.
For BING :
1. Link : For blog of 1-500 post
http://www.bing.com/webmaster/ping.aspx?siteMap=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.kudantown.blogspot.com%2Fatom.xml%3Fredirect%3Dfalse%26start-index%3D1%26max-results%3D500
2. Link : For blog with 501-1000 post.
http://www.bing.com/webmaster/ping.aspx?siteMap=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.kudantown.blogspot.com%2Fatom.xml%3Fredirect%3Dfalse%26start-index%3D501%26max-results%3D500
3. Link : For blog with 1000-1500 post.
http://www.bing.com/webmaster/ping.aspx?siteMap=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.kudantown.blogspot.com%2Fatom.xml%3Fredirect%3Dfalse%26start-index%3D1001%26max-results%3D500
For YAHOO : No need to did all the above steps. Congrate you've successful added all your blog sitemaps to yahoo and bing webmaster.
